What kind of headache is it?

Additionally it is accompanied by watery eyes and runny nose or nasal congestion on the side where the pain is located.


The signs of cluster headache are the restlessness and unable to get complete comfort. The condition will be more miserable if you are affected by migraine. The right cause of cluster headache is still a mystery but it is believed that it might be induced due to genetic factors. No preventive measures are known for it and medications only reduces pain.

Sinus headaches

The inflammation caused by the sinus is possibly due to infection and it causes pain. It can be easily treated by diagnosing symptoms and amount of pus which can be easily viewed through fibre optic scope. It cause severe pain accompanied with fever.


The sinus head can be treated with medications such as antibiotics and antihistamines or some time with decongestants.

Rebound headaches

Rebound headache is caused by the over use of medications or painkillers for headache. The real cause is the excessive use of acetaminophen (Tylenol), aspirin and ibuprofen and some prescribed drugs as well. According to one gesture it is stated that due to excessive use of medications brain shifts to an excited state and hence trigger more headache, while some other says that it is caused by the decrease in the level of medicines in the bloodstream.


Migraine headaches

Migraines has its roots in families and can be diagnosed by following certain protocols.

  • You must have minimum of five previous headache episodes
  • The pain must lasts between 4-72 hours
  • You must have two out of the four recurrent conditions of headache such as throbbing pain, one sided pain, pain that interferes and moderate to severe pain which must prohibits daily activity.
  • Additionally you must have one associated feature such as vomiting or nausea if none of them occurs, then you must be light sensitive and sound sensitive.


The migraine can be triggered by aura like visual distortions and numbness in hands.
